Late Mr. Mahesh Prasanna Abeywickrama

Mr. Mahesh Abeywickrama was a beloved brother, an undergraduate of University of Moratuwa and specially a charter member of Leo club of University of Moratuwa. Further he was good debater, speaker and one who worked for social responsibilities. He was elected as the president of the club for the Leoistic year 2004/2005 in the 2nd installation ceremony of Leo club of University of Moratuwa. But unfortunately, he left us in unexpected time and as a club we always memorize him for the great service he has done for the club. As a commemoration of his greater services, the event “Mahesh Abeywickrama Memorial Debate Competition” is held annually joining talented school students around the county.

Leo Chatura Gunawardana

Mr Chatura Gunawardana is a Charter member of Leo club of University of Moratuwa and he was strong enough to accept the leadership of the club after the unexpected death of Leo Mahesh Abeywickrama. Leo Chatura passed out from University of Moratuwa with a BSc Eng. (Hons) degree, specialized in the field of Computer Science and Engineering and did MBA at University of Colombo specializing in marketing. Leo Chatura is a proud product of Richmond College Galle. Not only that now He is an Engineering Manager with hands-on technical as well as project management experience in merchandising, payment, and settlement services domain. Leo Chatura is Lovely married to Manjula Kumari and blessed with a cute daughter

Mr. Tharanga Gunasekara

Mr. Tharanga Gunasekara is one of the outstanding past presidents of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa who led the club for the Leostic year 2005/2006. He gave massive contribution to bring the club to a greater height and it was proven by making the year 2006 remarkable milestone in the history of UoM Leos, as the club awarded as “The most outstanding Leo club of Leo district 306A2” for the first time in the inaugural District Conference of Leo district 306A2 held on July 2006. Thereafter, he was awarded as the Leo of the year for the Leostic year 2006/2007 for the dedication given to uplift the Leoism in Sri Lanka. Mr. Tharanga Gunaseara is a glamorous product of Rahula College, Matara and had his B.Sc. Honor degree for engineering from University of Moratuwa.

Mr. Buddhi Hettiarachchi

Mr Buddhi Hettiarachchi was the president of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa for the Leostic year 2006. He is a graduate of University of Moratuwa with a BSc Engineering (Hons) degree specialized in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering. He held the position as a regional director in the Leo district 306A2 for the Leostic year 2007. Currently, he is working as a Manager for the Transmission operation (Data Communication Network) at Mobitel. Pvt. Ltd. Leo Buddhi Hettiarachchi is lovely married to Arosha Pathirana and is blessed with two sons

Mr. Namal Karunarathne

Mr Namal Karunarathne was the president of Leo club of University of Moratuwa for the Leostic year 2007. He received his education at Vijaya College, Matale. He is a graduate of The University of Moratuwa with a BSc Engineering (Hons) degree offered by the Department of Textile Process Engineering. His service as a Leo earned him commendations. He was the Zonal Director of Zone A, Leo District council 306A2, 2008.

Mr. Manula Dharmarathna

Mr Manula Dharmarathna started his Leoistic Career in 2007 as a member of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa. He was the President of the Leo Club of the University of Moratuwa for the Leostic year 2008/09. He received his education at Badulla Central College. He is a graduate of The University of Moratuwa with a BSc engineering (Hons) degree.

Leo Lion Sameera Hewage

Leo Lion Chathuranga Gunasekara started his Leo career in 2009 at the beginning of his University life, when Leo Sameera Hewage was holding the presidency of Leo club of University of Moratuwa. Being an active Leo of Leo club of University of Moratuwa, he was lucky to be the 11th President of Leo club of University of Moratuwa. Thereafter in the last five years, he served for the Leo district 306A2 and Leo Multiple District 306 – Sri Lanka in different capacities. He is a proud product of Rahula College, Matara. Leo Chathuranga Gunasekara is a famous sporty boy in the school, University and Leo moment as well.

Mr. Damith Amarakoon

Mr. Damith Amarakoon started his Leoistic Career in 2008 as a member of Leo club of University of Moratuwa. He was the President of the Leo Club of the University of Moratuwa for the Leostic year 2010/2011. Further, Mr Leo Damith Amarakoon served the Leo district 306 A2 as a District treasure and Region director as well. He is a proud product of Bandarawela Central College and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Moratuwa. Leo Damith amarakoon is Lovely married to Nirmani Ranthunaga.

Mr. Naveen Lamahewa

Mr Naveen Lamahewa held the presidency of the Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in the Leostic year 2011. It was a year in which the club was reborn after a few years. Under the presidency of Leo Naveen Lamahewa Leo club of University of Moratuwa was awarded as the Most Outstanding Leo club of Sri Lanka for the year 2011. He was a notable alumni of Rahula College, Matara and University of Moratuwa and graduated with a BSc Engineering degree in Textile & Clothing Technology. He was a former Zone Director at Leo District 306A2 as well. He started his career as a Fabric Technologist at Brandix and currently working as a Material Developer for MAS Holdings

Being an active Leo of Leo club of University of Moratuwa, he was lucky to be the 11th President of Leo club of University of Moratuwa. Thereafter in Last five years he served for the Leo district 306A2 and Leo multiple district 306 – Sri Lanka in different capacities. He is a proud product of Rahula collage, Matara. Leo Chathuranga Gunasekara is a famous sporty boy in the school, University and Leo moment as well.

Mr. Ajith Ranaweera

Mr Ajith Ranaweera is one of the former presidents of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa who led the club in Leostic year 2013. In that year he could bring the Most Outstanding Leo club of Sri Lanka award to his own club through the dedication given to the Leo moment. Mr. Ajith Ranaweera is a glamourous product of university of Moratuwa and graduated with Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Further he is an old boy of Rahula College – Matara. He started his professional career as a Civil Engineer at CML-MTD Construction .Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Shehan Madushanka

Mr. Shehan Madusanka is one of the former Presidents of the Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, whom the club proudly mentions. He started his life in Leoism, by joining the Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in the year 2012 and became the Vice President of the Club for the Leostic Year 2013/2014 and was selected as the root of the club, the Club President for the Leostic year 2014/2015. He is also a proud product of the Richmond College-Galle. Mr. Shehan Madusanka was awarded with a BSc. Engineering Honors degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of University of Moratuwa. Currently he is working at CodeGen International .Pvt. Ltd. as a Software Engineer.

Leo Lion Ivan Udakara

Leo Lion Ivan Udakara is another remarkable former president of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa who led the club to bring it a greater success. He joined the Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in the year 2013, and he became the club vice presidency for the Leostic year 2014/2015 and the club presidency for the Leostic year 2015/2016. He is a proud product of Rahula College- Matara. Leo Lion Ivan Udakara completed his university education with a B.Sc. Engineering Honors degree offered by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of University of Moratuwa. He started his professional career as a Software Engineer and currently, he is working for Dialog Axiata. Further, Leo Lion Ivan Udakara served the Leo District 306A2 as a Project Activity Director in the year 2016/2017 and he was a District Treasurer at Leo District 306A2.

Leo Shehan Akmeemana

Leo Shehan Akmeemana is one of the former presidents of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa. He served the club as the president for the year 2016/2017 and guided the club to achieve the title of “Most Outstanding University Leo Club” of the year in Multiple District 306. He was a district contest director at Leo district 306A2 in 2019/20. Leo Shehan Akmeemana is a proud product of Mahinda college Galle and Graduated with a B.Sc. Engineering Honors degree offered by the Department of Electrical Engineering University of Moratuwa. He has worked for LEMCO Electrical. Pvt.Ltd and Ceylon Electricity Board as a training Electrical Engineer. Currently, he is serving for CESL as an Electrical engineer while continuing his contribution to the growth of Leo movement.

Leo Buddhi Isurujith

Leo Buddhi Isurujith Rajapaksha is the former President of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa. His Leo career was initiated in the year 2014, along with the beginning of his university life. He held the position of the Club President of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in the Leostic year 2017/2018 and guided the club to achieve the title of “Most Outstanding Leo Club” in Leo Multiple District 306, in the same year. Leo Buddhi Rajapaksha is a proud product of Rahula College, Matara, and also graduated with B.Sc. Engineering Honors degree offered by the Department of Civil engineering, at University of Moratuwa. Currently, he is a Design Engineer of Master Haylesand still he doesn’t forget to remain in Leoism being a strength and a guide to UoM Leos.

Leo Kasun Ramanayaka

Leo Kasun Ramanayake is the former president of Leo Club of the University of Moratuwa who sailed us to the pinnacle of success during his period and is a brilliant leader who makes his vision into reality. Currently, he is the treasurer of Leo district 306A2. He was an outstanding student at Batemulla National College and St. Aloysius College, Galle. He is a graduate of Electrical Engineering department and a minor’s degree holder for entrepreneurship at University of Moratuwa. The most outstanding Leo club vice president in Sri Lanka, the most popular Leo in Leo district 306A2, and the multiple district president’s appreciation awards were obtained by this smart character in 2018/19 Leostic year and 2018/19 and he was awarded as the most outstanding Leo club president in Leo district 306A2. He was also awarded as the most outstanding immediate past club president in Sri Lanka in 2019/20.

Leo Nethmini Kolambage

Leo Nethmini Kolambage is the Immediate Past Club President of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa and the first-ever lady president of UoM Leos. She is a proud product of Sanghamitta College, Galle. She started her Leo career being a prospect of the club and became the Vice President in the Leostic year 2018/2019. Proving her exemplary leadership she was awarded the 1st Runner Up Award for the Most Outstanding Club Vice President in Leo District 306A2 in 2018/19. She held the presidency of the club for the Leostic year 2019/2020 and with her massive contribution UoM Leos could become the Most Outstanding University Leo Club in Sri Lanka. We are so grateful for your support and take our heartiest thanks for your excellent leadership.

Leo Sachintha Kapuge

Leo Sachintha Kapuge is the Immediate past club president for the Lesostic year 2021/22, of Leo club of University of Moratuwa. He is a proud product of St. Aloysius College, Galle & currently a final year undergraduate in the Mechanical Engineering Department of University of Moratuwa. From being a prospect member of the club, he has come a long journey in his Leo life by organizing numerous projects in the club level, district level and also in multiple levels. He is currently holding the position of Zone director – zone C1, Leo district 306 A2. We are so thankful for your guidance & massive support. During his presidency year, we became the Most outstanding Leo Club in Sri Lanka.
